History

1961 The Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology was inaugurated.
1968 The first examination of Japanese cytotechnologist was carried out by the Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology and the Japanese Society of Clinical Pathology.
1978 The Japanese Society of Cytotechnologists was inaugurated.
1997 Undergraduate students who have undertaken specialized Cytotechnology program at the four-year universities became eligible to take the examination with the prospect of graduation.
2005 The Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology registered as a non-profitable organization (NPO).
2017 The 50th Anniversary of the Japanese Society of Cytotechnologists.
